The Legend of Eukles

Eukles Wealth Management derives its name from the ancient legend of Eukles (pronounced “youklees”). In the 5th century B.C., a vastly outnumbered Athenian army defeated Persian invaders at the Battle of Marathon, a small coastal town located 26 miles northeast of Athens, Greece. As a result, the victorious Athenian general sent Eukles to Athens to announce the victory. His 26 mile run is the traditional basis for today’s modern Olympic “Marathon.”
